WCHS Announces Commencement Details For June 2The commencement ceremony for the Class of 2023 at Warsaw Community High School will take place June 2 at 7 p.m. at the Tiger Athletic Complex on Fisher Field.
Rain dates have been scheduled, if necessary, for June 3 at 10 a.m. and June 4 at 2 p.m., according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools.
Commencement is a occasion that recognizes the achievements of graduates. WCHS strongly believes that every family has the right to hear their graduate's name and witness them receiving their diploma, stated the release. It is essential for all patrons to remain seated in their assigned bleacher areas until dismissal, allowing the graduates a dignified exit.
Each senior is eligible to receive eight tickets per family for the ceremony. All individuals, including children, must have a ticket to access the entrance of the high school parking lot and TAC facility. Tickets will not be available at the TAC entry gate. The facility will open to guests at 6 p.m.
Regarding parking, be aware that the C lot, which is closest to Fisher Field, has experienced a considerable reduction in available spaces due to ongoing construction. As a result, WCHS can only offer first-come, first-served parking in that area for vehicles with a handicapped sticker. However, there will be additional parking behind the TRAC to accommodate the anticipated crowd. To optimize parking availability, attendees are encouraged to carpool.
Graduates and attendees are encouraged to stay hydrated before the event. Water bottles will be allowed during the ceremony and will also be available for purchase at the concession stand, along with small snacks.
