WCHS A Riley Miracle School

Posted

Warsaw Community High School raised $3,393.63 during the school year to become a Riley Miracle School. A school becomes a Miracle School if they raise at least $1 for every student that attends the school. From student council sponsored events, WCHS raised $140 during a badminton benefit tournament; $1,220.03 collected at a home basketball game; and $1,220.06 from a Riley Dance. The student council won free DJ service at the state convention and used the DJ so all admission money to the dance went to Riley. The total from the student council events was $2,580.09. The athletic department raised another $833.54 from a football game in the fall. Student Council President Graeme Haase (L) and member Collin Abbott (C) presented the check for $3,393.63 to Susan Miles (R), representing Riley Hospital, during the school's Renaissance awards convocation Wednesday morning.
