Carriage rides through downtown Warsaw and Central Park and holiday bargains at downtown retail stores are all a part of this year's Hometown Holidays.
The event is sponsored by the Warsaw Community Development Corp. and proceeds collected from the carriage rides benefit the Salvation Army.
The event will feature downtown businesses holding special sales Dec. 1-2 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Dec. 3 from 1 to 5 p.m.
Carriage rides will be held Dec. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. Rides start at the National City Bank parking lot on Center Street.
Those who participate can view lighted decorations in Central Park, such as a nativity scene and lighted Santa.
The cost for the rides include $5 per person ages 3 and up, and rides for ages 2 and under are free.
People who donate a non-perishable food item will receive carriage rides for $4 per person.
The canned goods will be donated to the Salvation Army.
"This event allows people to come out and support the Salvation Army and enjoy the holiday lights in Warsaw," said WCDC Executive Director Carmen Lock.
