Wayne A. Wiley, 79, died at 11:28 p.m. Dec. 27, 2010, in Mason Health & Rehab, Warsaw.

He was born March 20, 1931, in Warsaw, to Richard and Naomi Louise Stevens Wiley. On Dec. 15, 1973, in North Webster, he married Peggy Burns, who survives.

A lifetime Warsaw resident, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He enlisted Oct. 23, 1951, served in the Korean War, and was honorably discharged Oct. 22, 1955, as a sergeant. He worked in building maintenance at United Telephone Co. for 20 years, retiring in 1997. He graduate from Leesburg High School in 1949 and was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church; Warsaw Masonic Lodge F&AM 73; Fort Wayne Mizpha Shrine; Warsaw American Legion Post 49; and the Korean War Veterans Association.

Also surviving are two sons, David (and spouse Linda) Wiley, Warsaw, and Rex (and spouse Lorraine) Riley, Arcadia; a daughter, Karen (and spouse Scott) Schuster, Fishers; three stepdaughters, Jeri Hunt, Cicero, and Penny (and spouse Rick) Thomas and Johnna Knisely, all of Warsaw; two brothers, Sydney (and spouse Sharon) Martin, Doylestown, Pa., and Tim J. Martin, Lakewood, Colo.; two sisters, Martha L. Moore, Springfield, Mo., and Jean Ann (and spouse Philip) Nelson, Mentone; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Evelyn Taylor Haney, of Claypool United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military honors by members of Warsaw's American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126.

Calling is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 7:30 p.m.
