Wawasee's Thompson Out For Season SYRACUSE — For the second-straight season, Wawasee junior Jacob Thompson has had his basketball season cut short due to a shoulder injury. Last season, it was Thompson’s right shoulder that required surgery, but this season, it’s the left shoulder that sustained the injury Dec. 29 during the Carroll Shootout. Sporting a brace on the shoulder for last week’s 76-67 loss to NorthWood, Thompson donned a brace on his left shoulder and shot just 2 of 17 for 11 points. Before calling an end to his season, Thompson averaged 24.1 points a game for the Warriors, connecting on 42 percent of his field goals.
