Two area school corporations have changed their dates regarding registration and first student day.
Wawasee Middle School walk-in registration dates have been changed. They now are Tuesday and Wednesday from noon to 7 p.m. Enter the building through door 11, and registration will be in the orchestra room.
The first day of school for all students attending Triton elementary and junior-senior high schools has been moved to Aug. 19.
It was scheduled for Aug. 16.
This change is necessary, according to a press release, because of a delay in completing the heating and air conditioning installation at the high school.
The student registration and textbook rental collection dates for Triton Elementary School will be Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.; and Aug. 11 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The student registration and textbook rental collection dates for Triton Junior-Senior High School has changed. The new dates will be Aug. 15 from 8 a.m. to noon, 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m.; and Aug. 16 from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m.
The staff orientation day also has changed to Aug. 18. The meeting will be held in the elementary cafeteria. Staff may arrive in the cafeteria as early as 7:30 a.m., and the meeting will begin at 8 a.m.
The elementary open house will be Aug. 18 from 5 to 6:30 p.m.
