Wawasee roundup: Wawasee Second In Gymnastics Sectional

SYRACUSE – Wawasee finished second to Elkhart Central by a single point, 106.375-105.375 at the Wawasee Gymnastics Sectional Saturday. Lady Warrior sophomore Reagan Atwood was second and freshman Jada Parzygnot was fourth in the all-around. Atwood was first and Parzygnot second in the floor exercise. Atwood tied with Elkhart Central’s Abigail Downs for second on the vault, was third in the beam, and fifth on the bars. Parzygnot won the beam, was eighth on the bars and tied for 13th on the vault. The top three teams and top six individuals, plus ties, advanced to the Huntington North Regional March 5. Brugh 12th In 500 At State Swim Meet INDIANAPOLIS – Wawasee’s Logan Brugh closed out his career with a 12th-place finish in the 500 freestyle at Saturday’s IHSAA state swimming finals. Brugh was the only local swimmer to advance past the preliminaries on Feb. 26.
