The Wawasee Community High School Key Club will hold its second Stuff the Bus food drive the week of Oct. 28 to Nov. 2. Club members are hoping to fill two buses this year with donations for Syracuse, North Webster and Milford food pantries. These food pantries rely heavily on community donations in order to ensure that they have enough supplies to serve those who require assistance, according to Kaitlin Kuhn, WCHS Key Club member. The Wawasee Community School Corp. has a 50 percent free and reduced student population, she also noted, which means half of the student’s household income is at or below the state level of poverty. The bus gathering non-perishable donations will be at the high school every morning during collection week. Key Club members will also be at the following locations during the week: Dollar General in Milford Oct. 28 from 4 to 6 p.m. Lance's New Fresh Market in North Webster Oct. 31 from 4 to 6 p.m. Lance's in Syracuse Nov. 2 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Donations will be delivered to the food pantries after school Nov. 5.
