SYRACUSE - Wawasee Community School Corporation announced the launch of Wawasee Child Care, a legally licensed exempt provider program designed to support families in the community by providing high-quality, year-round care for children as young as 6 weeks through age 5.
Openings are currently available for children ages 3–5 at all three elementary school locations — Milford, North Webster and Syracuse. For children ages 6 weeks to 3 years, enrollment is available starting in July at Milford and North Webster Elementary Schools. Syracuse Elementary is currently operating with a waiting list for this age group, according to a news release from WCSC.
Child care services are offered from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. during the school year, with summer hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The cost is $175 per week, and families may apply for state vouchers to help offset the cost.
“We know how important access to affordable and dependable child care is for families, and we are thrilled to offer this service in a safe and nurturing school environment,” said Jennifer Phillips, director of special services.
In addition to year-round preschool-age care, Wawasee also announced Summer Camp for school-aged children, preK thru fifth grade offered at Syracuse Elementary School. This program runs from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and includes breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack. The cost is $150 per week, and families can choose to attend one week or all summer long.

● July 7 – Art Extravaganza
● July 14 – Water Days
● July 21 – Weather Wonders
● July 28 – Around the World
