SYRACUSE – Wawasee High School will present a Veterans Day program Monday in the spectator gym. The program is from 8:15 to 9 a.m. All veterans and community members are welcome to attend this program. The program will consist of an introduction to Veterans Day, the Pledge of Allegiance, Wawasee High School Vocal Motion Choir singing the National Anthem and “Land of the Free.” Students will then present tangible ways to support the troops and veterans. Three students then will read letters showing current troops’ and veterans’ appreciation of people giving. Two students will read a short story titled “The Sack Lunches,” and there will be a short time the staff will challenge the student body to give back and help. The program will conclude with the American Legion performing Taps and firing.
