SYRACUSE – Wawasee moved to 4-0 in the Northern Lakes Conference boys golf standings with a pair of wins at South Shore Golf Club Thursday. The Warriors had a score of 170 to Elkhart Memorial’s 184 and Concord’s 186. Jeffrey Moore led Wawasee with a 39, with Cal Heinisch turning in a 42. Kyle Weideman had a 44, Cam Adams 45 and Jayce Boatwright carded a 47 on Senior Night. “We came back and played pretty well,” Wawasee head coach Steve Coverstone said. “I was concerned for two reasons: it was Senior Night and we had a couple of big wins (Wednesday) night. Jeffrey did well and Cal came back from a nine on his second hole.” Now 11-2 overall, Wawasee heads to the Culver Academies tournament on Saturday.
