SYRACUSE – Jairus Boyer led Wawasee with 14 points in the Warriors’ 68-57 loss to visiting Goshen at the Hardwood Tepee Friday night. Trevon Coleman had 11 points and Tyler Smith scored 10 for the Warriors. Goshen’s C.J. Detweiler hit 10 shots from the field and finished with a game-high 22 points. Brady Bechtel added 18 for the visiting RedHawks (6-11, 3-4 NLC). Wawasee trailed the RedHawks 29-28 at halftime before Goshen outscored Wawasee by five points in both the third and fourth quarters. The loss extends Wawasee’s Northern Lakes Conference losing streak to 35 and assures the skid will continue into next season. The Warriors take a 2-15 overall record into tonight’s game at Mishawaka.
