NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS OF ADDITIONAL APPROPRIATION Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Wawasee Community School Corporation (the "School Corporation") that the Board of School Trustees (the "Board") of the School Corporation will meet at Wawasee High School, 1 Warrior Path, Building 1, Syracuse, Indiana, at the hour of 5:30 p.m. (Local Time) on April 18, 2017, to consider the following additional appropriation which the Board considers necessary to meet the need existing at this time: An appropriation in the amount of $12,160,000 on account of the (a) renovation of and improvements to (i) Wawasee High School, including site improvements; (ii) the former VFW Building for a career and technology skills center; (iii) Wawasee Middle School; (iv) Milford School; (b) site improvements at Syracuse Elementary School; and (c) replacement or renovation of the Central Office in the School Corporation (the "Project"), including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with the Project. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the sale of real estate to the Wawasee High School Building Corporation. The foregoing appropriation is in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriation exists by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary school facilities. Taxpayers of the School Corporation appearing at the meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to the additional appropriation. Dated this 22nd day of March, 2017.
