Wawasee Choirs Will Present Annual Pops Spectacular

SYRACUSE - "Ease on Down the Road" to Wawasee High School May 4-5 for the annual choirs' Pops Spectacular.
The WHS choirs' will entertain the audience at 7:30 p.m. both nights in the high school auditiorium. Tickets are $5, and can be purchased from any choir member, director Connie Meadows or at the school office. If the shows are not sold out, tickets also may be purchased at the door.The theme for this year's show is "We Built This City On Rock 'N' Roll." It will feature all three choirs - Beginning Chorus, Advanced Chorus and Vocal Jazz. In addition, there also will be solos, ensembles and specialty acts.
The Vocal Jazz and Advanced Chorus both received gold ratings in the Indiana State School Music Association organizational contest at Concord High School April 19. Both groups received first-place ratings in performance and sight reading.
All numbers for the Pops Spectacular are choreographed, lighted and staged. Milford native and Wawasee graduate Suzanne Schwartz is the show's choreographer. Deb Sweazy came up with the costumes for the show. Keyboard accompanist is Jamie Culbertson.
Emcees for the 2007 WHS Pops Spectacular are Chelsea Rigdon, Bea Eisenhour, Maggie Dye, Caleb Froebe and Lance Lannen.
