SYRACUSE – The Wawasee High School Choral Department will present its fall concert Monday at 7:30 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Tickets are $5 for general admission. Children under 4 years old are free. The eighth-grade choirs from both Milford and Wawasee Middle School will join the high school choirs for the concert. The eighth-grade choirs are directed by Peg Zimmerman and Hope Bechtel respectively. Vocal Motion will sing and dance to “I’ve Got the Music in Me”, “Let Yourself Go”, “Already Home” and “Waka Waka”. The Advanced Chorus girls will sing “Cantar”, “And This Shall Be for Music” and “Everybody Rejoice” from the musical “The Wiz”. The Beginning Chorus will entertain with “Amani Utupe” and “Elijah and Joshua”. “There Will Be a New Day” will be performed by all of the choirs at the conclusion of the program. Soloists for the song will be Tristin Beery, Alexis Fiscus, Ryan Silliman, Anabella Looney, Delaney Brooks, Brittany Hughes, Drew Beer and Kasey Shell. “Let me Ride”, a traditional spiritual, will end the program by all choirs. Director of the high school choirs is Connie Meadows. Choreographer for Vocal Motion is Jeff Cox, and accompanist is Sara Skow. The high school choir department also is sponsoring a bake sale before and after the concert. The public is invited.
