A Wawasee Schools assistant boys soccer coach was arrested Tuesday after allegedly engaging in an inappropriate relationship with a 14-year-old girl.
According to an affidavit filed by the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, Syracuse Police Department officers spoke with the Wawasee High School dean of students who told officers he had received information that Wawasee Assistant Boys Soccer Coach Joshua Secor, 20, of 266 E. CR 700N, Leesburg, was possibly involved in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old student.
An informant told police that she observed Secor in a yellow pickup truck with the female. The informant believed the two were engaged in sexual activity for several minutes.
Officers spoke with the female student who said she and Secor were kissing and touching one another sexually. Secor told police he knew the female student was 14 years old and admitted to kissing and touching her sexually.
Secor was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail on preliminary charges of sexual misconduct with a minor – Class D felony – and held on a $2,000 bond.
