Waunita F. Tusing Huston, 76, of Edwardsburg, Mich., and formerly of Warsaw, died at 5:30 a.m. April 23, 2013, in I.U. Health Goshen Hospital. She was born March 18, 1937, in Kosciusko County, to Roman Robert and Zelma F. Witmer Kern. On Nov. 26, 1955, she married Lee A. Tusing, who died Jan. 30, 2006. She was remarried June 18, 2011, to James W. Huston, who survives in Edwardsburg, Mich. She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County and had been residing for the past two years in Michigan. She was a 1955 graduate of Leesburg High School and a member of Dutchtown Brethren Church, Warsaw. She had retired in 1998 from Zimmer Inc., Warsaw, after 23 years. She had also helped her first husband operate Tusing Brothers Lumber Company, Leesburg. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sons, William C. (and spouse Patricia) Tusing, Goshen, and Daniel C. (and spouse Rebecca) Tusing, Syracuse; a daughter, Gail (and spouse Daniel) Garrett, Evansville; three stepdaughters: Jennifer Huston, Chicago; Denise (and spouse Bernarr) Berkland, Osceola; Lori (and spouse Michael) Bonnici, San Anselmo, Calif.; 11 grandchildren: Matthew, Stephanie, Zach, Neil, Jacob, Melissa, Luke, Frank, Lee, Mikaela and Anthony; 12 great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Tammie Ingle, Warsaw; a brother, Harold “Ike” (and spouse Dorothy) Kern, Valparaiso. She was preceded in death by her mother, Zelma F. Witmer Ritter; her father, Roman Robert Kern; a son, Rolf C. Tusing, who died in 1995; two sisters, Jenny and Mary; and two brothers, Fred and Max Edward “Buck.” Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Dutchtown Brethren Church, 4057 E. CR 300N, Warsaw, with Pastor Jack Worth officiating. Burial will follow in Leesburg Cemetery.
