Lack of experience and excessive speed are being blamed for injuries to a Ligonier man who fell off his personal watercraft Sunday while boating on Lake Wawasee.
Brian A. Bohbe, 25, of Fashion Road, Ligonier, suffered a compound fracture of his right leg after falling off his personal watercraft at approximately 4:40 p.m. Sunday.
Bohbe told officers of the Indiana Department of Natural Resources that he was standing on the watercraft when he hit some big waves and was knocked off. He reportedly hit his leg on the rail when he fell.
IDNR reports did not indicate what hospital Bohbe was taken to or his condition.
