A Warsaw Wastewater Treatment Plant employee has been recognized for his performance in the wastewater profession.

Brian Davison, assistant operations supervisor for the Warsaw Wastewater Treatment Utility Plant, received an award for his performance and professionalism by the Indiana Water Environment Federation.

Davison received the William D. Hatfield Award at a conference Nov. 13-15 and was recognized by the Board of Works at its Nov. 17 meeting.

"I'm honored to have received the award and have the respect of my peers in the field," Davison said.

The recipient must have a successful system of reports to superiors that satisfy information requirements and provide a forum for suggestions and improvements.

Davison has been with the department for four years and began as an operator.

"Brian has been the right-hand man at the wastewater facility and has a lot of potential, and I believe he will be a superstar in the field as time goes by," said Dave Henderson, utility manager for the Warsaw Wastewater Treatment Utility Plant.

Warsaw's wastewater treatment plants also received safety and laboratory excellence awards from the federation.

The awards recognize wastewater employees for outstanding performance, professionalism and contributions to the water quality analysis profession.

Treatment facilities must score a 95 percent or better on safety inspections to receive the safety award.
