About 66,510 pounds of household hazardous waste was reported collected by the Kosciusko County Solid Waste District, according to executive director Sue Studebaker.
The numbers are close-out figures for a $9,500 matching grant from the Indiana Department of Environmental Management, Studebaker reported during the district's board meeting Thursday.
Studebaker said the host agreement between the district and Allied Waste Industries is being reviewed by the company and a modification to the contract is expected at the end of the month.
The district has been negotiating an increase in tipping fees - cost per ton for trash brought to the landfill - and other considerations for about a year.

Set 2004 meeting days to be at 1 p.m., the same day as the first county commissioner's meeting of the month: Jan. 13, Feb. 10, March 9, April 6, May 3, June 1, July 13, Aug. 10, Sept. 7, Oct. 5, Nov. 1 and Dec. 14.
Heard IDEM is not considering tire collection grants and the fees for tire collection in 2005 will be increased.
Heard 90 pounds of shoes were brought to the KC Depot as part of the annual shoe recycling drive so far this month. The program lasts until Nov. 26.
Heard this year's Public Education Promotion grant is being closed out.
Heard there is still a lot of dumping at the building after hours. Board member George Clemens said the Warsaw Police Department was supposed to increase patrols.
Studebaker said since people can bring recyclables to the property at all hours, they feel they can drop off items anytime, too.
Heard Safe-T-Clean will be the new household hazardous waste hauler.
Heard Studebaker will be gone Jan. 9 through 24 for vacation.
