A group of fifth-grade Washington students visited the campus of Howe Military Academy to learn about their CyberPatriot program, a national youth cyber education program created to inspire high school and middle school students toward careers in cybersecurity or other science, technology, engineering and mathematics disciplines critical to the nation’s future, according to information provided by Warsaw Community Schools. This fall, a team of Washington students will compete in the CyberPatriot program, with the help and advice of Howe Military Academy team members and coaches. Ben Barkey, Washington’s STEM coach, is quoted as saying, “We are excited to offer this program at Washington STEM Academy. It will give our students an advantage when it comes to computer knowledge and safety.”
