Warsaw's Richard To Work 3A Volleyball State Final In Muncie

INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana High School Athletic Association has announced the officials that will be working in the 44th annual state volleyball finals to be held this Saturday in Worthen Arena on the campus of Ball State University. Dan Richard, Warsaw, has been assigned to work as referee No. 1 at the Class 3A final match between Yorktown and Providence at 3 p.m. Richard has been officiating high school and college volleyball 34 years. He has worked 29 volleyball sectionals, 21 regionals, 12 semistates, and this will be his record-setting ninth appearance at the volleyball finals. Richard and his wife Becky have been married for 40 years with two children, Erin and Kelly. He is a 1971 graduate of Carmel High School and 1975 graduate of Ball State University where he was a member of the Ball State men’s volleyball team. He is employed as director of the Kosciusko County Area Plan Commission. Richard is a member of the Northern Indiana Officials Association.
