AVON - Warsaw Community High School junior Justin Howell, who advanced to the individual round of the state golf finals after the Tigers bowed out as a team, finished the two-round tournament with a 161.
Howell, who finished 18 strokes behind winner Nathan Fritz of Greenwood, shot a 79 on Wednesday and an 82 on Thursday.
Noblesville repeated as team champion with its two-round score of 619. The Millers shot a 309 to tie Marion for the lead after the first round and shot a 310 on the second day. Marion finished second after shooting 317 Thursday for a total of 626.
The Tigers, with a score of 335, were one of six teams not to advance to Thursday's final round of competition.
