Tiger Basketball will present “Warsaw’s Got Talent” Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center.
Tickets are $10 each.
Warsaw varsity basketball coach Doug Ogle said, “The first Warsaw’s Got Talent show, in 2009, was a huge success. This show, with the talent we have assembled, has a chance to be just as good. Also, I am thrilled that Jennifer Shepherd is again producing and directing the show.”
According to Assistant Principal Jennifer Shepherd, “The main thing is that it features adult and student talent to support tiger basketball! It’s a fun time for talent and humor!”
There will be singing, piano, acoustic guitar, comedy, dance, cheerleading and more, she said.
Sponsored by Scott Wealth Management, there will be performances by Bryce Lippe, Chris Dawson, Chris Dillon, Derek Grose, Ivory West, Jason Zaugg, Jillian Burley, Lucas Grose, the Optimist Singers, “Sweet Mountain” Dan Kuhn, Tim Clothier, WCHS cheerleaders and the WCHS Hip-Hop Dance Team.
Dillon returns as Patsy Cline and Kuhn will also share his unique talents, Ogle said.
“The performers this time are probably a little bit younger,” said Ogle. “Almost half the acts are from our own WCHS student body including Ivory West, Jillian Burley, Derek Grose, Bryce Lippe, Lucas Grose, the varsity cheerleaders and the Hip Hop Dance team. But trust me, the ages of the ages of this group does not belie their level of talent.
“We have a couple of acts, Ivory West and Chris Dawson, that are singing and playing some their own original music.”For a $10 ticket, Ogle said, the quality of entertainment, will be very good.
“This show is definitely not amateur hour. If anybody comes to this show and at some point, does not laugh, or cry, or sing along I will give them their money back.”
Ogle said the Warsaw Breakfast Optimist Singers, under the direction of Martin Becker, have selected two songs that all will enjoy and also will sing the National Anthem.
