Warsaw Zoners Meet Tonight

Posted

The Warsaw Board of Zoning Appeals meets tonight at 7 p.m.

Union Tool, 940 N. Detroit St., is requesting a variance to build a 2,600-square-foot building with a 3-foot rear-yard setback instead of the required 25-foot setback in an industrial-3 zone. The building would be constructed on the northeast corner of the property.

Union Tool also, on an adjacent property at 936 N. Detroit St., is requesting a variance from landscape buffer requirements of a 3-foot-wide and 3-foot-high continuous screen between the parking lot and Detroit Street. The landscaping would sit at least 12 to 15 feet from the street.

Union Tool is asking that a buffer not be installed.

The board also will hear the request of Edward and Kelly Jarrett, 615 E. Fort Wayne St., to install a privacy fence with a zero rear and zero west-side yard setback. In a residential-2 zone, a 3-foot setback from the property line is required.
