A Warsaw woman fled from a possible robbery Sunday evening when a man allegedly displayed a handgun outside her vehicle.
Lisa A. Good, 27, told Warsaw police that she was sitting in traffic at the intersection of East Winona Avenue and Smith Street when the suspect ran toward her car from the railroad tracks. He reportedly pounded on the passenger door glass and shouted at her, but when she didn't react, he allegedly pulled a small revolver from his coat.
Good said she then "stomped on the accelerator" and fled the scene. When she looked in her rearview mirror, Good said, she saw the suspect run south onto North Bay Drive.
Good called police from the YMCA on Smith Street.
The suspect is described as a white male more than 6 feet tall and having a mustache and beard. He was wearing a black baseball cap, black coat and dark clothing.
Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the Warsaw Police Department at 372-9511.
