The Warsaw Whitecats won the second annual Wifflehawks Wiffleball Tournament, which was recently played at Four Winds Field in South Bend. A total of 35 teams started the tournament, with 25 then advancing to a single-elimination round and a chance at the Wifflehawks traveling trophy. The Whitecats beat Clutch Players, the defending tournament champions and current world champions, 13-8 in the championship game. With the tournament win, the Whitecats were able to gain some ground in the Grand Slam Wiffleball Rankings, which incorporates four tournaments and uses a point system to determine the best team of the year. Clutch Players are currently ranked first, while the New Carlisle Newts are second and the Whitecats third.
