Warsaw, Wawasee Struggle At NLC Meet To Lead Roundup

Posted
PLYMOUTH — The conference struggles of the Warsaw and Wawasee girls tennis teams continued in the opening round of the Northern Lakes Conference Championships.
Played at Plymouth, only Warsaw senior Lindsay Sciarra got a victory, defeating Concord’s Holly Angel 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
Sciarra advances to today’s semifinals, back at Plymouth, where she’ll face Elkhart Memorial’s Taelor Grose for a chance to play in Saturday’s title match.
With injuries limiting her for much of the season, Sciarra just began playing No. 3 singles in Warsaw’s final two regular season matches, winning both.
For the rest of the Warsaw and Wawasee girls, they will be playing for fifth place when the Championships resume Saturday.
