Warsaw Ties Northrop

The Warsaw Tigers girls soccer team never trailed Northrop, but could only get a 2-2 tie in their season opener at the CCAC Tuesday.

Krista Coppes scored the first goal of the game midway through the first period. Tied at 1-1 in the second period, Rachel Buhrt scored to put Warsaw back ahead, but Northrop tied the score with just two minutes to play.

Warsaw (0-0-1) will be at Argos on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Westview 3, Wawasee 0

Wawasee dropped its opener at home on Tuesday with a loss to Westview. Head coach Paul Boyd was not satisfied with the results.

"Our next game is Tuesday," he said. "You will see a different display of soccer."

Wawasee (0-1) will host Garrett on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

Warsaw 202, Whitko 262

The Warsaw girls golf team defeated Whitko on Tuesday 202-262 at Stonehenge Championship Golf Course.

Warsaw was led by Ashley Cooper's 43. Mariah Krider was Whitko's top scorer with a 57.

Warsaw (5-0) will be at Norwood Golf Course against Huntington North today at 4 p.m. Whitko will be at NorthWood Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Kari Wortinger shot a 43 for Wawasee, but Penn still outshot the Warriors at Maxwelton Golf Course Tuesday.

Wawasee (2-5) will be at Norwood Golf Course to meet Huntington North on Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Mishawaka Marian Over Triton 15-6, 11-15, 15-9

Triton dropped its varsity opener on Tuesday in a three-set loss to Mishawaka Marian. Heather Barron had 19 assists and was 81-of-82 setting for Triton.

Triton (0-1) will host Oregon-Davis on Thursday at 6 p.m.
