The host Warsaw Tigers will meet the Columbia City Eagles today at 4:30 p.m. in the boys tennis sectional championship at WCHS. Warsaw defeated county rival Tippecanoe Valley 4-1 Thursday, while Columbia City beat Wawasee 5-0 Valley’s Nick Kindig beat Warsaw’s Kyle Wettschurack 7-5, 6-3 at No. 1 singles, while the Tigers dominated the other four matches. At No. 1 doubles, Warsaw’s AJ Herendeen and Sam Rice beat Derrick Cunningham and Clayton Adamson 6-0, 6-0. Columbia City’s 5-0 win over the Warriors came via straight-set wins on all five courts. Thursday in Peru Manchester’s varsity boys tennis team saw its season end with a 3-2 loss to the host Tigers in the Peru Sectional. The Squires scored wins at No. 1 singles, where Connor Eichenauer beat Joe Comenforo 6-4, 7-6 (7-3), and No. 2 doubles, where Morgan Metzger and Noah Cain were 7-5, 6-4 winners.
