The Warsaw Education Foundation has surpassed the $250,000 mark in Red Apple Grants awarded to teachers in Warsaw Community Schools. The WEF Red Apple Grant Program, which began in 1990, has provided funding every year since for innovative programs and enrichment opportunities for students and teachers in Warsaw Community Schools. This milestone was achieved in January when more than $11,000 was awarded to 11 teachers from nine different Warsaw Community Schools for projects that will encourage academic growth in their students. These teachers began working on projects in January, studying a range of subjects from honey bees to chocolate to DNA analysis and their students will benefit from the in-depth learning these opportunities will provide.
