Warsaw Student Wins Scholarship

Taylor A. Bean, a senior at Warsaw Community High School, is the winner of the Corporate-sponsored Merit Scholarship, it was announced today.

Bean's scholarship is sponsored by Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation Inc.; his parents are employed by Bristol-Myers Squibb.

Bean plans to go into elementary education as a career. He has been the school newspaper editor for three years and a member of the yearbook staff for two years, a Boys' State delegate, an academic excellence award recipient, student council representative and is a National Merit Scholarship finalist.

He is the son of Richard and Barbara Bean, Warsaw.
