NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ORDINANCE NO. 2014-03-01 AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING STORMWATER UTILITY FEES CHAPTER 78,ARTICLE VI OF THE WARSAW CITY CODE
Pursuant to I.C. 36-9-23-26,the City of Warsaw Common Council will hold a public hearing at its meeting on March 17 at 7 pm in its Council Chambers at 102 S. Buffalo, Warsaw Indiana at which time users of the storm sewer system within the corporate boundaries of the City of Warsaw and other interested persons may be heard concerning a proposed Ordinance establishing a stormwater utility user fee for the City of Warsaw as recommended by consulting firm Christopher B. Burke Engineering LLC. The proposal will define the stormwater fee components of a base fee and a fee for impervious service. It will define the Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) and how stormwater user fees are calculated based on the ERU assigned to both residential and non-residential real estate containing impervious area. The proposal also declares how stormwater user fees are collected. The hearing will be held at the Council Chambers at 102 S. Buffalo Street,Warsaw.
