Notice is hereby given to the taxpayers of the Warsaw Community Schools (the "School Corporation") that the Board of School Trustees (the "Board") of the School Corporation will meet at 1 Administration Drive, Warsaw, Indiana, at the hour of 7:00 p.m. (Local Time) on October 23, 2017, to consider the following additional appropriations which the Board considers necessary to meet the need existing at this time:
a) An appropriation in the amount not to exceed $10,000,000 on account of the construction of a community center and site improvements at Warsaw Community High School in the School Corporation (the "Project"), including the incidental expenses necessary to be incurred in connection with the Project. The funds to meet such additional appropriation are to be provided by the sale of real estate to the Warsaw Multi-School Building Corporation; and
b) An appropriation in the amount of $10,000 on account of the Pension Debt Service Fund.
The foregoing appropriations are in addition to all appropriations provided for in the existing budget and tax levy, and a need for such appropriations exists (a) by reason of the inadequacy of the present buildings to provide necessary school facilities, and (b) to reduce the total debt service levied by the School Corporation in the future, respectively.
Taxpayers of the School Corporation appearing at the meeting shall have the right to be heard in respect to the additional appropriations. With respect to the appropriation for the Pension Debt Service Fund, the Department of Local Government Finance will make a written determination as to the sufficiency of funds to support such appropriation within fifteen (15) days of receipt of a Certified Copy of the action taken.
