Warsaw Robotics, Engineering-Robotics I & II class at the Warsaw Area Career Center, competed in the first annual Bloomington Robotics Club Vex Robotics Tournament at Hoosier Hills Career Center in Bloomington Saturday.
Five Warsaw teams competed. All five teams made it to the quarter finals round. One team made it to the semi-finals round.
Carlos Brito, in the first robotic competition that he participated in, was the driver of the robot.
"We left as a team and I did not think it would be possible for me to contribute. When we got there, everything was falling apart, but I kept my head up and we represented Warsaw well. It seems like we could always do better, but I feel that we were very successful for our first time participating in a tournament. I feel like next time we will do even better and we will make Warsaw Robotics a well-respected name for future competitions," Brito, a sophomore, said.
