Warsaw Area Career Center Robotics Team placed in the top six out of 61 teams over the weekend at the Zionsville Vex World Qualifier.
Team members that made it to the semi-finals were Ian Smith, Nathaniel Robinson, Alyson Heilig, Kelly Blair and Michal Meeker. Sponsors for the Warsaw team included Zimmer, Warsaw Community Schools Technology Department and Tornier for sponsoring robotic equipment.
The next robotic competition that Warsaw teams will attend will be Dec. 3 at Warren Central for another Vex World Qualifier.
Teacher Abbi Richcreek said, "I was very proud of the accomplishments that the teams made. The team that made it to the semi-finals did exceptionally well. This is actually an all-rookie team. Everyone learned a lot and came away with ideas to make their design even better. It was great."
