The Warsaw Redevelopment Commission held a short meeting Monday with members Tammy Rockey, Bob Steele and Jerry Kralis taking oaths of office as given by Major Ernie Wiggins.
Commissioners Charlie Smith and Neal Carlson were absent.
Officeholders were changed somewhat with Rockey re-elected president of the commission and Charlie Smith vice president. Jerry Kralis was elected secretary.
Warsaw city planner Jeff Noffsinger presented the board with a projected budget for the Warsaw Northern Economic Development Area, a Tax Increment Financing district.
Currently the balance in this account is $3,640.49. The June 30 increment TIF payment will be $35,739.81 with $24,630 going to Sofamor Danek, leaving the commission a balance of $14,760.30.
Another payment of $35,739.81 is slated for Dec. 31; Sofamor Danek will get $24,630, leaving a balance of $25,880.11.
Sofamor Danek receives money to repay a $2.1 million bond issue for infrastructure the company installed when it moved to U.S. 30 and CR 150W from Winona Lake.
The commission's balance will go toward further improvements in the area.
A second balance sheet presented by Noffsinger shows the downtown Warsaw TIF district balance as $51,161.90 following a $116,089.49 bond payment on Feb. 1.
Claims were approved in the amount of $116,089.40 to Lake City Bank for the downtown Warsaw TIF district bond and $500 to Source One Insurance for coverage on board members.
