Niche.com recently ranked the best towns in the nation and in Indiana, and Warsaw came in at No. 4 in the state.
The top three Indiana cities in the 2015 rankings are Carmel at No. 1, West Lafayette at No. 2 and Bloomington at No. 3.
Other area towns ranked in the top 45 include Columbia City at No. 11, Goshen at No. 12, North Manchester at No. 13, Plymouth at No. 22 and Nappanee at No. 23.
Niche ranked the towns based on livability using grades for weather, safety, schools and access to activities, jobs, housing and transportation, according to the website. A high ranking indicates that a town offers a high quality of life to its residents.
The website gave Warsaw an “A” for things to do and easiest commute; an “A-” for education and housing; a “B+” for community and health and fitness; a “B” for jobs and weather; and a “B-” for crime and safety and outdoor activities.
Nationally, the top five towns – in order from No. 1 to No. 5 – are Palo Alto, Calif.; Park City, Utah; Redmond, Wash.; Mountain View, Calif.; and Santa Monica, Calif.
Carmel, Ind., comes in No. 11 on the national ranking; West Lafayette, No. 46; and Bloomington, No. 97.
