A man in a red station wagon allegedly tried to abduct a Warsaw teen-ager Wednesday afternoon.
The mother of the 13-year-old girl told Warsaw police that her daughter was walking through the parking lot of a business in the 900 block of East Center Street when the car pulled in near her. The man then verbally tried to persuade the teen to get into his car, telling her he wanted her to kiss him. The man did not make any physical contact with the girl.
The teen-ager continued walking and went home and told her mother what happened. The police were then notified, but neither the man nor the car was located.
The suspect is described as about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, with dark hair and blue eyes. He also had a scar on the left side of his face, a large nose and spoke with an accent, possibly French.
