Warsaw Planners To Review Petro Request

Posted

Petro Family LLC will request an amendment tonight in front of the Warsaw Plan Commission to re-establish an existing planned unit development on property along the northwest corner of Petro Drive and Detroit Street.

The proposed amendment will subtract a 150-foot by 500-foot tract of land from the initial unit development. Petro Family LLC will seek approval to rezone the transferred land to C-3 Commercial so that it can be included in a future subdivision.

David L Carey LLC will come before the board requesting an approval for a preliminary plat on 23 acres of land adjacent to Detroit Street. The company hopes to construct a 48-lot mixture of residential and commercial zoning on the land, previously classified as agriculture.

A final plat request will be reviewed by the board permitting Sondra Hoskins, Syracuse, and Wade Frauhiger three commercial lots on land along Lake Street and West Street. Hoskins sold Frauhiger two of the three lots on the property but failed to go through the subdivision process required by city ordinance. The two lots owned by Frauhiger are occupied, while Hoskin's lot is vacant.

Terry and Nancy Blue will request a vacation of a public access along Winona Lake as well as solve discrepancies on a survey of their property. The vacation would allow the Blues construction of a seawall and increase resale value.

Plan Commission members include Joe Thallemer, Jeff Grose, Alan Clingan, Tammy Dalton, Jim Gast, Lacy Francis Jr. and Rick Keevan.
