Warsaw Planners Take Look At Two Subdivision Requests

Posted

Preliminary and final plat approval for a lot in Health Park subdivision will be requested before the Warsaw Plan Commission tonight by the Kosciusko 21st Century Foundation

The organization hopes to create two lots from one in the division, which is currently used as a medical district, and would be commercialized pending approval.

David L. Carey will request final plat approval for construction of a 48-lot "Northwest Woods at the Crossing" subdivision west of the CR 350N and Ind. 15 intersection.

Carey plans to construct commercial and residential lots on the property, which are currently agricultural. According to Plan Commission reports, proper sewage and water access will be extended to the site.

Final plat approval also will be requested by Park Ridge Developers for a proposed 80-lot subdivision west of County Farm Road. The 69-acre property is zoned R-1 and is used for agricultural purposes.

Park Ridge engineers submitted plan and profiles for infrastructure and drainage calculations conforming to city requirements. Past city concerns regarding lighting, fire hydrants and sidewalks within the subdivision will meet zoning standards.

In other matters, the plan commission will conduct a secondary review of Biggs Inc.'s planned unit development at the southwest corner of CRs 75N and 175E.

Biggs Inc. plans to construct "Paths of Deerfield," an 110-lot subdivision, on the property. The purposed residential subdivision will be a mixture of single-family residences and duplexes.

The Warsaw Traffic Commission recommended to realign the intersection of CRs 75N and 175E to help correct existing traffic hazards in the area and prevent future problems the subdivision could face with increased activities on the roads.

Plan Commission members are Joe Thallemer, Jeff Grose, Rick Keevan, Lacy Francis, Alan Clingan, Tammy Dalton and Jim Gast.
