Warsaw Party Busted

Posted

Police investigated a party early this morning and found a child asleep in a car littered with beer bottles.

Officers from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's and Warsaw Police Departments were called to reports of the drinking party and loud music at 2942 U.S. 30E, Warsaw shortly after midnight.

When police arrived, they found several suspects running from the scene. One suspect Eddie Tavone Gordon, 22, of 302 Bronson St., Warsaw, was arrested.

They also found a 2-year-old toddler asleep in a car full of beer bottles. Police also reported they found a partially smoked marijuana cigarette in the ashtray of the same vehicle. Several pieces of mail and a bottle of prescription medicine found in the car allegedly had the name Eddie Gordon on them.

An officer found Gordon and another man walking on U.S. 30 near the scene. Both men told police they were not at the party, but they had been drinking.

Gordon was arrested for public intoxication and giving a false police report.

The toddler's mother, Billie Baldridge, reportedly told police she asked a friend to watch her child while she was in the bathroom and the friend must have left when police arrived. Police reported beer bottles were also sitting on the car's roof along with two baby bottles.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report said paperwork would be reported to Child Protective Services for the toddler.
