Warsaw Parks Announces Summer Programming And Concerts

Warsaw Parks & Recreation Department announced the summer programming calendar.
All programs will be virtual for the summer season. Concerts, Family Movie Nights and Family Carnival will be in-person with social distancing strictly enforced.
Paid programming will have free kit delivery available within Warsaw and Wayne Township.
• Paint with Me: $15, includes all supplies and live, virtual instruction. Thursdays, June 18, July 9, July 23, Aug. 13.
• Cupcake Wars: $10, includes all supplies to decorate six pre-baked cupcakes (from The Cake Lady) and post a picture to be included in the judging for prizes. June 23.
• Ceramics: $7, includes all supplies. No instruction needed. Kits available June 22.
• Wildlife: $5 per week, or $25 for all six weeks. Kit includes all supplies and live, virtual program. Tuesdays, July 7 through Aug. 11.
• Zoo Bash: $15, includes all supplies and live, virtual program. Thursday, July 16.
• Dino Dig: $5, includes all supplies and live, virtual program. Thursday, Aug. 6.
Free programming has curbside kit pickup Mondays from 9 to 11 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the park office.
• Imagination Station: Wednesdays, June 10, 17, 24, July 8, 15, 22, 29, Aug. 5, 12.
• Fitness challenge: Fridays, June 19, 26, July 10, 17, 24, Aug. 7, 14.
• Know Your Nature: Saturdays, June 20, 27, July 11, 18, 25, Aug. 1, 8, 15.
• Kids’ Fishing Derby (virtual): June 12-20. Prizes will be awarded.
• Warsaw and Winona Lake Scavenger Hunt: June 29 through July 4. Prizes awarded.
Free Events
• July 18: Family Movie Night – “Lego Movie 2”
• July 31: Family Movie Night (in conjunction with Family Carnival) – “Trolls World Tour.”
• July 31: Family Carnival/Big Wheel Race, Painters, Caricature artists, Balloon Twisters.
• Aug. 15: Family Movie Night – “Frozen 2”
Concerts will be held in-person at the Central Park Plaza (unless otherwise noted) with social distancing strictly enforced.

• July 10, Blues DeVille, blues.
• July 17, Lightnin’ Rod & The Thunderbolts, blues, concert will be at the Lucerne Park Amphitheater.
• July 24, Out of Favor Boys, blues.
• Aug. 7, The BelAirs, oldies.
• Aug. 14, Quinten Flagg, oldies.
• Aug. 21, The Sound, gospel.
