Warsaw Middle School Students Selected For INpact BandWarsaw Community Schools announced three students were selected to participate in the INpact Indiana’s Future Band: Hallie Hertzler, Annalisa Hertzler and Luna Ortiz, all of Lakeview Middle School. The program is a production of Drum Corps International which allows middle school students from the state to perform as a part of the DCI World Championships Week Festivities. Students will have the opportunity to rehearse under Indiana’s most esteemed music educators and perform in front of thousands at the DCI World Championship Finals. According to Joseph Peloza, WCS middle school band director, over 600 students applied for this year’s DCI INpact Band. Due to the high level of interest this year, the organization selected a band of 500 students in addition to a color guard to perform at the DCI World Championships on Aug. 9-10 in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium.
