An admitted child molester will serve eight years in jail after he was sentenced in Kosciusko County Circuit Court Thursday.
Abraham Garcia, 26, Warsaw, pleaded guilty to a lesser charge after being arrested for child molesting as part of a plea agreement.
According to police reports and court documents, Garcia met a 13-year-old girl in an alley in Warsaw in November. Garcia offered the girl a ride, which she accepted. Garcia then made sexual advances toward the girl then asked her to meet him the next day.
The girl notified her mother, who contacted police.
Police apprehended Garcia, who admitted to molesting the girl.
Garcia will serve eight years in prison after Kosciusko County Circuit Court Judge Rex L. Reed handed down the sentence.
