A Warsaw man is in jail after allegedly admitting to raping a woman.
David Aguilar Rangel, 59, of 217 S. Scott St., Warsaw, was arrested at 7:49 p.m. Saturday on charges of rape and criminal conduct and is being held in Kosciusko County Jail on $20,000 bond.
A 34-year-old woman reported being raped at Rangel's home. She told police she went to the home to play with an acquaintance's dog and while there Rangel coaxed her into the home, fondled her and then forcibly had sexual intercourse with her against her will. She told police Rangel threatened her with a knife.
The victim was examined at Kosciusko Community Hospital and the results reportedly indicated evidence of a possible sexual assault.
When questioned, Rangel reportedly admitted to police that he got the woman into his home and forced her to have sex, against her will.
