Posted

A Warsaw man is in serious condition after possibly being struck in the back of the head by a beer bottle outside a local establishment early Saturday.

Joseph Alan Glant, 43, of East Levi Lee Road, suffered a cut under his left eye and abrasions to his knees, shins and elbows. He was reportedly unconscious at the scene of the 2:50 a.m. incident.

An employee of Time Out Inn, West Lake Street, Warsaw, called police to report the fight that involved several people in the back parking lot. The alleged assailant reportedly got into a vehicle and left after Glant was struck.

Glant was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, and later transferred to Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, due to the severity of the head injury.

Police are seeking information about the incident and ask that anyone who can identify the suspect in the case to call 372-9511.
