A Warsaw man is expected to survive after he was hit by a car Thursday night.
At approximately 11:51 p.m. Thursday, emergency personnel were dispatched to 2035 E. Market St., Warsaw.
When crews arrived, they found Filiberto Gonzalez, 41, who lives at the Market Street address, pinned between two vehicles.
According to WPD, Gonzalez was standing in the driveway when Maria Patino, 21, who also lives at the home, accidentally hit her accelerator instead of the brake as she was pulling into the home. As a result, Gonzalez was pinned between the 1999 Saturn Patino was driving and a pickup parked in the driveway.
Police reported Gonzalez was flown to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
A representative from Parkview Hospital reported Gonzalez wasn't listed in the public patient registry.
Police said alcohol and drugs aren't suspected in the crash, but tests are pending.
Assisting at the scene were Multi-Township EMS, Warsaw Fire Department, Winona Lake Police Department and Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
