A Warsaw man is facing charges for dealing meth for his alleged role as being the “mule.”

Demetrius Daniel Link, 35, of 820 Wexford Place, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 2:43 p.m. Monday and faces charges for dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony; dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony; and possession of methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed May 28 in Kosciusko Circuit Court, in December officers with the Kosciusko County Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET 43) conducted an undercover purchase of methamphetamine from Brandon L. Warren, 42, of 302 N. Bronson St., Warsaw.

However, when the deal went down at the Bronson Street home, it was Link who passed the drugs to the undercover informant in a plastic cup, according to court papers. The cup had 9.2 grams of methamphetamine inside.

The undercover informant working with NET 43 told police that Warren will set up the drug deals but will oftentimes have other people deliver them.

In January, NET 43 again made another methamphetamine purchase from Warren at the Bronson Street home, and again, Link was one who delivered the drugs during the deal again in a plastic cup. This time, the cup had 11.36 grams of methamphetamine inside.

Warren was arrested in early March and charged with aiding/inducing/causing dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 2 felony; aiding/inducing/causing dealing in methamphetamine, a Level 3 felony; possession of methamphetamine, a Level 4 felony; and possession of methamphetamine, a Level 5 felony.

Link’s bond was set at $25,250.
