A Warsaw man faces felony child exploitation charges after his wife told police he had been looking at underage pornographic Internet sites.

Jason A. Stone, 35, of Warsaw, surrendered himself to police at the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department Thursday morning for the felony child exploitation charges. He posted $20,000 bond immediately.

According to KCSD Det. Josh Spangle, Stone's wife contacted police after she found out that her husband had been visiting various Internet sites that featured underage pornography.

The woman reportedly became suspicious because of her husband's unusual behavior and because he was constantly sending their family on paid trips to the Indianapolis area.

She also said that she thought it was strange that the family's home computers were being infected with viruses but he would not allow them to be fixed.

Stone's wife took the computers to a local computer store and tracked the Web sites on the machine, and once she learned what they were, contacted the sheriff's department for help.

All the information was forwarded to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor's Office, and a search warrant was issued for the Stone residence. On Feb. 8, officers executed the search warrant and removed two safe and the computers from the home.

According to a press release from the KCSD, officers found "approximately 266 individually printed images on photo paper that depicted sexual conduct of children that appeared to be less than 16 years old. The safes also contained 26 DVDs of child pornography as well as various other DVD and VHS tapes depicting both adult and child
